Vince Neil of Motley Crue is no stranger to scuffles with the law — and now he’s back in court, where he’s set to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge stemming from an alleged disorderly conduct incident involving his ex-girlfriend, entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs, and a pair of her companions at a Las Vegas comedy club.
“Mr. Neil is sorry he raised his voice,” said Neil’s defense attorney, David Chesnoff.
Amnesty International is one of the world’s foremost organizations dedicated to the preservation of human rights and the prevention of grave injustice.
So it only stands to reason that in order to celebrate Amnesty’s 50th anniversary, someone decided to put together an album of Bob Dylan covers — even if it’s a little odd that they invited pop stars like Kesha and Miley Cyrus to join the roster of artists lending their pipes to the rock legend’s classic songs.
Not even the mighty Nikki Sixx could emerge from this summer’s Glam-A-Geddon Tour unscathed — but after undergoing knee surgery on Wednesday (Oct. 19), Motley Crue‘s longtime bassist is on the mend and ready to rock.
Before Rooney Mara landed the lead in David Fincher’s ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,’ a long list of actresses were rumored for the part, including Ellen Page, Natalie Portman, Emma Watson and Scarlett Johansson.
According to Fincher, it was Scarlett who came closest to winning the coveted role of vengeance-seeking vigilante Lisbeth Salander — but in the end, she was just too darn sexy.
Last month, Primus fans celebrated the release of ‘Green Naugahyde,’ the band’s first new album in over a decade. But to hear bassist and band frontman Les Claypool describe the release, the Primus reunion didn’t meet up to the hype.
“To be honest with you, I wasn’t really that interested in doing it,” Claypool revealed during a recent interview with the Colorado Springs Independent. “I like turning over new rocks, and it didn’t feel like it was a new rock.”
After a four-year layoff, Machine Head recently stormed back with their seventh album, ‘Unto the Locust,’ and fans immediately responded by giving the band the highest-debuting release of its career.
Riding high with a top 30 album, Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn recently sat down with Loudwire to discuss the creative process behind the new record, the band’s impressive longevity, and some of the music that’s inspiring him today.
