Chloe Moretz Is More Than a Little Stressed Out in the ‘Brain on Fire’ Trailer

Chloe Moretz went on an acting hiatus for a little while last fall after filming both November Criminals and Brain on Fire back to back — an understandable decision for someone who’s kept their schedule consistently busy since the first Kick Ass. And portraying someone with anti-NDMA receptor encephalitis can‘t have been exactly restful. Moretz is back in the acting game, having signed on to the Suspiria remake and The Miseducation of Cameron Post, but we get to see her efforts for Brain on Fire right now in a new trailer.

Original ‘Batman’ TV Show Star Burt Ward’s First Day of Shooting Sent Him to the ER

Nowadays, actors are often straight-up forbidden from doing their own stunts so that they don’t suffer from any lasting injuries. Some, like Tom Cruise, have the star-power needed to convince a director he wants to be strapped to the side of a jetliner while it takes off, but most of the time it’s the stunt-doubles doing all the work. Not so for Burt Ward, who played sidekick Robin in the original 1960’s Batman TV show. He recounts a time during production during which he had to perform a stunt so dangerous he was sent to the emergency room.

‘The Bad Batch’ Teaser: Keanu Reeves Lords Over a Dystopian Desert

You might know director Ana Lily Amirpour from her fantastic debut A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. A feminist vampire movie that turned the genre on its head, it felt refreshingly sinister, and put Amirpour’s name on the map. Her second movie, The Bad Batch, premiered at TIFF last year and will finally get a release this summer.

‘The Great Wall’ Featurette Showcases Ramin Djawadi’s Score, Plus Some Bonkers New Footage

While the controversy surrounding The Great Wall is unavoidable at this point, especially since every piece of promotional material has noted white American man Matt Damon superimposed onto shots of the most famous location in China, there are aspects of the film to look forward to, for those inclined to crane our necks to look past a few glaring historical inaccuracies. One of these aspects is composer Ramin Djawadi, one of the most versatile score writers working in film and TV today, who takes us through the “emotional journey” of The Great Wall in a new soundtrack featurette.

Kristen Stewart Is Haunted in the New ‘Personal Shopper’ Trailer

The latest Kristen Stewart project to finally hit our shores is Personal Shopper, a kind of ghost story that made waves at Cannes and the Toronto Film Festival last year. Stewart and director Olivier Assayas previously collaborated on 2015’s fantastic Clouds of Sils Maria, and their second project together has been pretty divisive, but Stewart made our Best of TIFF list for completely carrying this movie all on her own. A new trailer heralds the film’s US release, which opens next month.

Watch the Recently Unearthed, Completely Improvised Audition Tapes for ‘Paranormal Activity’

Found-footage horror has always been pretty hit-or-miss: for every Blair Witch Project there’s a Last Exorcism. Most of the time, it’s the low-budget efforts that succeed in utilizing the style’s greatest strengths, so it’s not surprising that Paranormal Activity, made on a budget of $15,000, became a global phenomenon. The sequels are what they are, but the first movie is still chilling to this day, in part because of its two leads, who act in such a way that it’s easy to believe it’s all real.

That attempt went less than smoothly, but far from being discouraged, Gad is back for another go at it.
