Levon Helm, drummer and vocalist with the legendary rock group simply known as the Band, died today (April 19) at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. His wife Sandy and daughter Amy posted the news of his imminent exit on his official website earlier this week.
Steven Van Zandt, he of the E Street Band, ‘the Sopranos’ and the ‘Underground Garage,’ made time to find his way to Cleveland to induct the Small Faces & the Faces into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last Saturday evening (Apr. 14). His speech was a bubbling spiel delivered by an obvious fan of the band(s) he was inducting.
Keith Moon was capable of many things. He could drive cars into swimming pools, destroy hotel rooms in a single night, create havoc whenever needed, and most importantly, play the hell out of a drum kit. Davy Jones, one fourth of the most famous made for TV rock and roll band ever, the Monkees, has died today (Feb. 29) of a heart attack. The Martin County, Fla. medical examiner’s office confirmed the story to ABC News, saying they “are currently evaluating whether or not the medical examiners office will take jurisdiction.”

Using their legendary ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’ tour and it’s concert video ‘Maiden England’ as a model, the tour will kick off June 21 in Charlotte, N.C. and wrap up August 18 in Houston, Texas.
