Stephen King’s ‘It’ Will Still Be Two R-Rated Movies, ‘Hopefully’ Filming Later This Year

While Cary Fukunaga’s adaptation of Stephen King’s sprawling horror epic It has now joined the list of great films that might have been, New Line hasn’t entirely ditched the plans set out by the former True Detective director. The studio is still planning on adapting the novel into two films, with the first focusing on the characters as children and the second following them as adults. And though we still mourn what Fukunaga’s version could have been, take solace in knowing that New Line is at least targeting an R rating.

‘Deadpool’ VFX Reel Shows You How It Took Five Actors to Make Colossus

We already knew that there were two actors involved with bringing Colossus to life in Deadpool: Andre Tricoteux provided the mo-cap performance for the larger-than-life X-Men character, while Stefan Kapicic provided his heavily-accented voice. But according to this interesting new VFX reel, there were three more performers involved in creating Colossus — yes, it took five whole men to make one giant mutant superhero.

‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Production Codename Revealed

Not too long ago, there was a rumor going around that Rian Johnson had a secret production codename for Star Wars: Episode VIII — a totally believable rumor, given that most major films shoot under secret titles and the practice is fairly common. Episode VIII’s codename is secret no more, as Carrie Fisher (and her insanely adorable dog, Gary Fisher) has revealed the sequel’s production title, and, like most codenames, it’s one you never would have guessed.

‘Amityville: The Awakening’ Trailer: Something’s Not Right in Jennifer Jason Leigh’s House

It’s been 37 years since the original Amityville Horror, which weirdly spawned 12 sequels, many of which were direct-to-video releases up until now. A new trailer for Amityville: The Awakening takes us back to the dreaded haunted house once again for the new sequel starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bella Thorne. And it looks about as corny as a direct-to-video sequel, but at least it has a good cast?

‘10 Cloverfield Lane’ Trailer: Everyone Outside Is Dead

Bad Robot unveiled a new trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane during last night’s midseason premiere of The Walking Dead, and although producer J.J. Abrams has said that the film is more of a “blood relative” than an actual sequel, the marketing isn’t doing anything to particularly dispel the whole sequel notion. Between the Cloverfield branding, the viral marketing and the mysterious monster-like sounds at the end of the trailer, this movie appears to be more and more of a sequel than Abrams would have us believe.

‘Suicide Squad’ Star Margot Robbie Shares a Demented Valentine

It is indeed Valentine’s Day, the most romantic / nauseating / corporate holiday, depending on how you feel about it. For the less conventional among you, Margot Robbie has shared a new Suicide Squad poster capitalizing on the holiday and pulling double duty as a deranged Valentine’s Day card, celebrating the kind of sick love that only Harley Quinn and the Joker (and hopefully no one else, ever) could share.
