The Houston Astros are waking up this morning only .5 games ahead of their in state and division rival Texas Rangers after dropping game one of the four game series last night 5-3.

The night started out looking good as Jose Altuve launched a first inning home run to put the Astros up early but the Rangers soon tied the game. I could go into detail but it's baseball.

The game was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the 8th inning. Astros reliever Will Harris gave up a 2 run home run to Prince Fielder and that was pretty much that.

The Astros have 6 games remaining with the Rangers and it's about time they find a way to beat them. So far this season they are 4-9 against the Rangers and let's face it. That kind of lack of dominance doesn't win divisions.

Next game is tonight at 7:05 on Root Sports Network and Fox Sports Southwest.

Stay tuned.
