Dallas Keuchel was on his game last night as the Astros took game 1 of their series with the Angels 6-3.

The offense has shown up lately as opposed to the dismal first half of September. Evan Gattis hit a 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 2nd inning and the Astros never looked back.

Carlos Correa also hit a 2 run blast in the bottom of the 3rd inning making it 4-0. The Astros would go on to score 2 more runs while the Angels put of a struggle in the 9th inning pulling to within 3 but Luke Gregerson came on to pitch for the Astros and shut them down.

With last night's win and the Rangers having a day off, the Astros pulled to 1 game out of the American League West standings.

Game 2 is tonight on Root Sports at 7:05 while the Texas Rangers are on the road in Oakland beginning a series with the Athletics. That games gets underway on Fox Sports Southwest at 9:05pm

Let's hope the Athletics put a hurt on the Rangers and the Stros can pull off another win against a struggling Angels team.
