Following a tough 1-0 loss Monday night in the Bronx, the Houston Astros storm back to crush the New York Yankees in game 2 of the 3 game series by a final of 15-1 Tuesday night.

Dallas Keuchel (15-6) held the Yankees scoreless for the second time this season and became the first 15-game winner in the American League. Keuchel yielded three hits in seven innings with nine strikeouts and no walks.

Marwin Gonzalez, Evan Gattis and Carlos Gomez homered for the Astros, who had 15 hits and batted around three times in the first seven innings after manager A.J. Hinch shuffled his lineup. Houston, which equaled last season's total of 70 wins, managed only 17 runs in its previous eight games no more than three in any of them.

In a lopsided matchup of AL division leaders, the most effective Yankees pitcher was backup infielder Brendan Ryan. He worked two scoreless innings in his first major-league appearance on the mound and was the only New York hurler who didn't give up multiple runs.

The Astros close out the series today at noon CT in New York. The post season looks to be very exciting.
