Asking Alexandria has put in the time and now fans are getting a taste of what's to come as the band just posted 'The Death of Me' from their upcoming album online. The hard-hitting track will be featured on the 'From Death to Destiny' disc, which is expected this summer via Sumerian Records.

Frontman Danny Worsnop, who ended 2012 bowing out of a tour to have vocal cord surgery, appears to be back on his game with 'The Death of Me' as both the guttural and melodic vocals reverberate throughout the song. "I won't let you be the death of me / No I refuse to let you bring me down," sings Worsnop defiantly in the track. The song can be heard in the player below.

Though no official release has been announced as of yet, the posting for 'The Death of Me' revealed the 'From Death to Destiny' album title along with the news that Sumerian Records would issue the disc this summer. The band has spent the early part of the year working on the record with producer Joey Sturgis.

Guitarist Ben Bruce stated last fall of the new disc, "[The new album is] a lot more mature. [We may have] a lot of radio singles — what we’re calling radio singles, songs we’re going to push towards radio and try to accelerate our career and get to the next level and hopefully bring our old fans across with us … [The rest of it will be] our usual balls-to-the-wall kind of stuff. We spent a long time honing in on our song structures and writing techniques and things like that, but there are still heavy songs on the record. We’re not just going to throw that away and kick our original fan base in the teeth by getting rid of all that.”

Asking Alexandria head out on the 'Don't Pray for Us' North American tour with Motionless in White, Whitechapel, Chimaira and I Killed the Prom Queen in April. The dates for the trek can be seen here. In addition, the group has booked shows in Europe after the run. The full itinerary can be seen here.
