Are Victoria Residents Really as Unhappy as they Seem on Social Media?

OK I'll be the first to admit. I've had bad service at places all over the map. Doesn't matter where you live, eventually you will run into a business that offers sub par service or dare I say....get an order wrong.

Same holds true for Victoria I'm sad to say. However, there is an entire page devoted to good, bad and indifferent retail adventures here in Victoria.

I'm not going to name the page directly because I'm not here to call any one person out. However, reading most of the posts on said page leads me to believe that we have a fair amount of bitchy people (for lack of a better term) that have nothing better to do than to complain about ketchup instead of mustard as if it were a restaurant closing worthy offense. Honestly, call the corporate office because they forgot to put a straw in your bag? Really??! Really?!?

I'm not sure what makes the same group of people so bitter towards life that the only satisfaction it seems they get is to get someone else in trouble. Don't get me wrong, not all the posts are bad. The page does offer some legitimate reviews of local businesses but when you complain about McDonalds getting your order wrong...OF COURSE THEY DID...IT'S MCDONALDS!! It happens. Do what the rest of us do and either eat what you were given or take it back and get what you ordered. Stop trying to get the place condemned for soggy fries or Dr. Pepper instead of coke....or better yet CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!

As I stated earlier, there are plenty of legit gripes on the page and some positive reviews as well but I think we need to lay off the verbal lynching of an establishment for giving you 7 instead of 8 onion rings it's getting old and tiresome.

Come on Victoria, you're better than that!!
