We've seen some glimpses of Paul Giamatti as Rhino in 'Amazing Spider-Man 2,' though we haven't seen the real deal just yet -- all the pics have been of the actor in a sort of skeleton suit, designed to allow computer generated effects to be placed around him. And while Giamatti says we likely won't see Rhino just yet, he did offer up a few details about his mysterious villain character.

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Giamatti spoke fondly about the sort of corny villains we see in comic book movies, and how much he enjoyed portraying the Rhino, whom the actor says is "one of several bad guys in the movie":

These things are kind of operatic, so you need big old hammy actors sometimes. But I personally like doing stuff like that and I liked comic books when I was a little kid.

Giamatti goes on to describe his character's classic presentation in the comics and his suit, though isn't able to elaborate very much on the particular look designed for 'Amazing Spider-Man 2':

In the comic books of old, he had this suit on that made him look like a rhinoceros, and it made him super strong. If there was a bank vault he would just run right through it. Butt through it with his head. And he was not very smart. And I have a particular kind of suit, but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster. Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things. My accent is pretty hammy. I loved doing it. it seemed to me like an opportunity to be as over-the-top hammy as possible. It was really fun.

Here's what we know: the Rhino is a Russian mobster, he has a suit of some kind, and Giamatti is hamming it up good and proper. We're excited.
