Today (April 22) is Earth Day, and you can help support awareness of air quality in Victoria at the 5th Annual Idle Free Jamboree.

Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at the Stroman Middle School Track at 3002 North Street in Victoria the events get underway. This free event features student race teams in pedal car races all vying for this year's trophy. It's lots of fun and, the highlight of the racing will be a race between the Victoria Police and Fire departments.

The 5th Annual Idle Free Jamboree which is designed to help raise awareness of air quality in Victoria and the harmful impact of vehicle exhaust and idling on the environment is sponsored by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Dr. Pepper, H.E.B., and the City of Victoria Environmental Services department.
