3 Texas Schools Make AP Preseason College Football Poll

It's probably no surprise to college football fans that the 2 teams that finished #1 & #2 head the AP Preseason College Football Poll.

Defending National Champions Alabama naturally was voted the top spot and, Clemson, the team Alabama beat for the title was ranked second.

Oklahoma got the #3 spot, Florida State was 4th, with LSU at #5, Ohio State #6, Michigan #7, Stanford #8, Tennessee came in at #9, and Notre Dame rounded out the top 10.

How did Texas teams fare?

TCU was the highest ranked of the 3 teams that made the top 25 at #13, Houston was ranked #15, and Baylor was #23.

Incidentally, Houston's top 25 ranking marks the first time they've made the poll since 1991.
