In what seems to be an ever increasing and equally disturbing trend, another teen life was cut short by violence yesterday. This time, right here in our hometown.

18 year old Vonsell Ramirez had his life cut short Wednesday when police discovered him in the early morning hours on Booker Street with what proved to be a fatal wound to his neck.

Ramirez was taken to DeTar Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police believe Ramirez was on Booker Street for a drug deal when things went bad.

3 people, Braylen Wayne Snell, 19, Raheem Davon Jones, 19, and Marissa Nicole Martinez, 18, were arrested Wednesday in connection to Ramirez's death.

Jones, a former Calhoun County High School football standout, was booked into the Victoria County Jail on suspicion of capital murder and aggravated robbery charges.

Snell and Martinez were jailed on suspicion of murder and robbery charges.

Not saying Ramirez was a saint by any stretch. He was dealing illegal drugs late at night. However, this kind of bullshit doesn't have to keep happening.

Ramirez recently had become a father to 4 month old Armani who now has to grow up without her father.....over some stupid crap.

When will it end?
