2 Victoria Women Arrested for Working in the World’s Oldest Profession

It's been around for a long, long time and, as much as we think that it doesn't happen in Victoria, prostitution does happen here.

The Victoria Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit, along with the Crime Reduction Unit arrested two women this week for it.

On March 23, 2016, at 8:00 pm, undercover officers with the Victoria Police Department’s Special Crimes Unit, along with the Crime Reduction Unit conducted a prostitution sting in the 800 block of South Bridge Street. This sting stems from information received about illegal activity occurring at this location.

Arrested were 47 year old Hongying Shen, and 46 year old Hongna Jiang.

The two were transported them to the Victoria County Jail.
