I wrote about Michael Harabis not too long ago, after hearing that he was in the hospital with a severe prognosis. He was not doing well, and doctors said he didn't have much time. His family put him in hospice care not long after, and he passed away this week. Needless to say, he will truly be missed. He was a great guy to work with, and a great friend to hang out with. I know he will be remembered by listeners, too. I still get people asking me about his time on 106.9, as we reminisce the old days on the radio.

To all who knew Mike as a friend both on air and off, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 16th. In lieu of flowers, Mike's family asks for your help with contributions to the gofundme account set up to help cover his medical and final expenses. Any amount helps.

Here is the Facebook post from his wife Debra:

To all my friends and family on fb: It's been an amazing 10 month journey. Some good times and some not so good. You have been with us every step of the way with prayers and support. The love that we have felt from each of you and from the Father has been amazing. Mike completed his journey at 10:03 pm on July 5 , 2016 and is now with the Father. We on the other hand begin a new journey that involves living the rest of our days without him by our side.
We will be having a Memorial service to celebrate his life with us on Saturday, July 16th at 2pm at Hope Reformed Baptist Church on Main Street in Port Lavaca. Please help share this so his friends will also have the opportunity to join us.
Thank you all for being a part of our journey. God bless you all!
