I'll admit, I wasn't much of a reader as a kid. I could barely be bothered to sit still long enough to finish my cereal and watch cartoons. I was always outside doing something. To this day I still don't read much, and when I do it takes me awhile to read a whole book. Not because I'm slow in the head or anything, the jury is still out on that. I just can't focus on sitting still staring at something for any extended period of time.

However, if these books were around when I was a kid I don't think I'd have any problems staying focused. And knowing then what I know now, some of these could have spared me some consequences of dumb decisions.
